Osama bin Laden watching himself on TV is an electronic painting made using numerous manipulated stills from a video seized by U.S. Navy SEAL Team Six during their assassination raid on May 2, 2011 at bin Laden's Abbottabad compound in Pakistan.

Hiding in a shuttered room, bin Laden was videotapped flipping through a compilation of news stories about himself while stroking his beard creating a mise en abyme of the al-Qaeda leader toward the end of his life.
